The United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, in August 1945, the final stage of the Second World War. The United States dropped the bomb with the consent of the Britania Raya as stated in Quebec Agreement. Two operations bombings that killed at least 129,000 inhabitants is the use of nuclear weapons during the war for the first and last time in history.In the last year of World War II, the Allies prepared to launch incursions into mainland Japan are costly. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians although there is a large military garrison in Hiroshima.
On August 15, six days after the bombing of Nagasaki and the Soviet Union declared war, Japan surrendered to the Allies. On September 2, Japan signed an instrument of surrender that ended World War II automatic. The influence of this bombing against Japan's surrender and ethical reasons still debated today.
